Why summer is the smartest moment of the year, and why waiting takes the choice out of your hands.<\/p>\n<p>But booking is only the beginning. The question that comes next, and the one many HR managers actually ask before saying yes, is simple: what happens then? What does the programme look like for the employee who starts it? And what do you notice as an HR manager?<\/p>\n<p>In this blog we walk through the entire Summer Crash Course, step by step. From the first conversation to the moment someone steps into a meeting in September with more confidence.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 1: the intake call<\/h2>\n<p>It doesn&#8217;t start with a lesson plan, but with a conversation. Before anyone sits down behind their laptop, we map out what the employee needs. Which language, which level, and above all: in which situations does it currently break down?<\/p>\n<p>That last point matters most. The manager who reads German just fine but freezes up on the phone needs something very different from the international colleague who speaks fluently but struggles with formal emails. So no standard programme, but a starting point that matches the reality of that one person.<\/p>\n<p>For you as an HR manager, this conversation is also the moment it becomes concrete. Which employees, which languages, which schedule. After that, we take it from there.<\/p>\n<h2>Step 2: the right trainer, not just any trainer<\/h2>\n<p>Based on that conversation, we match the employee with a trainer who fits. Not only in terms of language, but in terms of context. Someone who understands the learner&#8217;s world, whether that&#8217;s client contact, technical work or boardroom meetings.<\/p>\n<p>That match largely determines the result. Ten of those are personal sessions with the trainer, via Teams. The other five are e-learning, which the employee completes at their own pace. On average that comes down to around three hours a week. It&#8217;s two hours behind your laptop, one on one, focused entirely on your situation. The trainer works with material that fits the employee&#8217;s job: the emails they actually send, the conversations they actually have, the meetings they actually sit in.<\/p>\n<p>The e-learning in between makes it stick. Not as homework tacked on at the end, but as a way to practise between sessions at times that suit. The Summer Crash Course isn&#8217;t designed to get someone to a new language level.
